Digital Imaging Technicians (a.k.a. HD Technicians)
If you have never shot with Sony high definition cameras, we highly recommend hiring a digital imaging technician ("D.I.T."). The Sony HDW F900 cameras are essentially computers with a lens attached to the front. A good D.I.T. can literally paint pictures to give the director of photography (DP) a desired "look" by manipulating hundreds of camera menu settings. An experienced D.I.T. can literally do color correction in the camera.
HD Studios' digital imaging technicians have worked with the Sony HDW F900 high definition camera since its inception and the Sony HDW 700A prior to that. They have shot and served as D.I.T.'s on shoots around the world in conditions varying from Antarctica to New Guinea.
A digital imaging technician can be hired for $400-$900/day. While nothing replaces the value of an experienced D.I.T. on set, we offer several work-arounds, which have been successfully implemented in the past. Feel free to contact us in order to determine which solution is best for you.

HD Camera Operators & Directors of Photography
HD Studios employs only the most experienced high definition camera operators and directors of photography. If you'd like to see the reels of HD Studios' operators and directors of photography please contact us. We've been producing and providing HD production services for the past six years, and we work regularly with the top talent in the industry. Our camera experts have shot for television shows, features, commercials, music videos, news, and various new media.
Many of our camera operators have the experience to double as digital imaging technicians. For single camera shoots, this will allow you to maximize your resources.
HD 24-hour Technical Support
Unlike other production equipment rental houses, HD Studios rents our Sony HDW-F900 high definition cameras to clients, educates them on their use and provides 24-hour technical support.
HD Studios' technical support solutions make it unique in the industry. For example, if your operator needs assistance recalling a scene file, changing settings in the user matrix, or mapping out a lit pixel, our staff will walk someone on set through the camera's menu settings any time...day or night.
The first hour of technical support is free with the rental of our HD camera package. Each additional hour will be billed at a reasonable rate.

HD Offline Editor
